Tidewall Command
★★★★☆ 4.4
Tidewall Command drops you in charge of a cluster of island settlements and asks you to manage resources, tides, and the occasional raid. The twist is that the sea level shifts over the course of a match, opening and closing routes, so a wall you built early might be underwater by the midgame.
It took me two or three losses to stop playing it like a standard base-builder. Once I started reading the terrain and planning around the tide schedule, it clicked hard. The AI is competent enough to punish lazy expansion without feeling cheap.
Matches run a bit long for pure mobile play, maybe twenty minutes each, so it's better suited to a lunch break than a bus stop. The pause-and-plan feature helps a lot if you get interrupted.
What we liked
- Dynamic tide mechanic
- Honest, non-cheating AI
