Gridlock Tactics

★★★★★ 4.5 Editor rating

Gridlock Tactics takes a simple idea, move the cars so a path opens up, and stretches it into hundreds of genuinely clever levels. Early puzzles teach the rules gently, then it starts introducing one-way tiles, locked vehicles, and timing, and suddenly you're staring at your screen for five minutes before a move clicks.

What I appreciate is that it never cheats you with fake difficulty. Every solution is logical, and when you finally see it there's that satisfying little rush. The hint system is there if you're stuck but it doesn't nag.

It's the ideal commute game, one puzzle per stop. I finished the base set and immediately went looking for the bonus packs.
